For our mission, Akoben represents staying conscious of the inequities that still exist. Educational gaps don’t close on their own. Children don’t automatically receive the resources they need. Families don’t suddenly overcome systemic barriers without community support.
The war horn reminds us that our work requires intention, advocacy, and action. We stay ready so the children we serve don’t have to fight their battles alone.
